Lussier explained that management wants every person in the company that needs access to information to be able to refer to the same data source. The goal is to bring the diverse needs – user input, changes, updates – all together so everyone is on the same page, and Lussier adds, “all referring to the model as the single source, with all departments pulling information from that source.”
KSC began its implementation of a six-week workflow performance pilot project in early November, 2020. It involves the estimators and project managers and includes:
• Discovery and assessment of skills
• Determining the improvements that are needed
• A solution roadmap
• Formal implementation plan for software, including BIM 360, Revit and Inventor
• Training
